Aberdeen Based Ceona to Reduce Staff Count
A further blow to the North Sea sector was announced earlier today by Ceona, an Aberdeen-based SURF and heavy subsea construction contractor to the deepwater market.
The company confirmed it will be reducing staff numbers, but added that it is still too early to know just how many workers will be affected by this decision, commenting that it has been forced to downsize staff due to the fall in oil price.
Ceona reported that this move was made to aid in reducing costs, commenting that the leadership team notified the staff of the decision yesterday.
Ceona has yet to respond with regards to the number of staff affected by the downsizing.
