ADNOC, in collaboration with AIQ and SLB, introduced a groundbreaking AI-driven solution, AR360, designed to advance reservoir analysis and field development, ushering in a new era of accelerated digital transformation within the energy sector. The solution, geared toward optimizing upstream exploration and operations, promises to deliver heightened efficiency and reduced operational energy consumption and emissions.
AR360 serves as a comprehensive reservoir visualization and performance application, consolidating all subsurface data into an integrated system that utilizes AI and automation to streamline the field development plan (FDP). By optimizing the FDP, AR360 aims to unlock increased energy output while minimizing emissions, achieving the delicate equilibrium between the introduction of new wells, enhanced performance of existing wells, and the optimization of injection and production parameters.
Amid its deployment in various ADNOC upstream operations, AR360 has demonstrated substantial enhancements in engineers' productivity, marking a remarkable 75% boost while upholding model quality and predictability during comprehensive reservoir model reviews. Notable improvements have been observed in well performance, resulting in extended well lifetimes, refined reservoir comprehension, more accurate production forecasts, and streamlined drilling expenses.
The collaboration between ADNOC, SLB, and AIQ has also highlighted one of AR360's most compelling advantages: the optimization of the infill drilling program, leading to a reduction in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions stemming from drilling and flaring operations before the commencement of well production. With an eye on future prospects, the companies are actively working toward commercializing the solution for the broader market in the near future, solidifying their commitment to spearheading sustainable and technology-driven advancements in the energy sector.
