Havila Shipping, a Norwegian offshore vessel operator, has recently sold three vessels, including one platform supply vessel (PSV) and two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels. The decision to sell these vessels aligns with the company's current restructuring agreement and the demands of its lenders. Notably, all three vessels are currently engaged in operations for Shell UK.

The sale of the PSV Havila Commander and the AHTS vessels Havila Jupiter and Havila Venus was officially disclosed by Havila Shipping on October 30, 2023. These vessels are scheduled to be handed over to their new owners at the start of November 2023. Havila Shipping plans to allocate the proceeds from the sales to repay its debt, with the company anticipating a minor impact on its liquidity.

The PSV Havila Commander, built in 2010 and designed as a VS 485 CD, is chartered by Shell UK and can accommodate up to 23 individuals. Its availability is expected from October 31, 2023. Similarly, the AHTS vessel Havila Venus, constructed in 2009 and based on the Havyard 845 design, is chartered by Shell UK and is set to be available from November 3, 2023. This vessel has a capacity to host 60 individuals.

The third vessel, Havila Jupiter, a 2010-built AHTS vessel designed on the Havyard 845 platform, is anticipated to be available from November 1, 2023, and can accommodate up to 60 people.

Amidst these developments, Havila Shipping has been actively pursuing new contracts and extending existing ones. Notably, Reach Subsea recently exercised an option to extend an ongoing contract involving one of Havila Shipping's inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR), survey, and construction vessels.
