Multi-year Extension of Repsol Sinopec Deal Prolongs Petrofac’s Success in North Sea
Petrofac, an oilfield services provider, has secured a three-year contract extension to support Repsol Sinopec Resources UK's North Sea operations. The contract, valued at over $100 million, encompasses operations and maintenance services across various assets in the North Sea, including Arbroath, Auk, Bleo Holm, Claymore, Clyde, Fulmar, Montrose, Piper, Saltire, Tartan facilities, Flotta Oil Terminal, and Nigg Oil Terminal. This extension expands on the companies' long-standing partnership, which began in 2016 and has seen Petrofac take on additional North Sea assets in 2020.
Nick Shorten, Chief Operating Officer for Petrofac’s Asset Solutions business, highlighted the company's commitment to providing safe and effective operations and expressed anticipation for continued collaboration with Repsol Sinopec across their North Sea assets.
This contract extension adds to Petrofac's series of successes, including decommissioning projects in Mauritania for Tullow Oil, operations and maintenance work for Tullow Oil in Ghana, offshore operations services for BP's Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project in Mauritania and Senegal, and an integrated services contract with CNR International (CNRI) for an FPSO off the Ivory Coast, West Africa. Petrofac has also recently renewed four operations and maintenance contracts in the North Sea.
