Offshore Rota Changes to Involve 28 Day Trips
Oil and Gas People can reveal today, that BP has announced new offshore rota plans which will likely see hundreds of BP workers changed to a three on four off or three on five off shift pattern.
BP Initially proposed a three on three off system. However after consultation with staff, it has agreed to change this to 161 work days per year and the new rotation pattern. Workers will have 154 rota days with an additional 7 days to be worked at the companies discretion. BP has also confirmed that the new plans would involve some 28 day trips.
The changes will affect 800 BP UK offshore employees and will mean no further job cuts or salary reductions as a result of the new proposal.
