Subsea7 has announced two significant contract wins, reinforcing its position in the offshore energy sector. The first is a "sizeable" contract from Shell for the decommissioning of subsea infrastructure related to the FPSO facility Fluminense in Brazil's Campos Basin. The scope includes the disconnection, recovery, and disposal of 10 flexible risers, three umbilicals, and nine mooring lines at a depth of 700 meters. Offshore work is scheduled to commence in December.
In another development, Subsea7 has received a "major" contract amendment from Petrobras for the Mero 4 field off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The scope involves engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning of 76 kilometers of rigid risers and flowlines for the steel lazy wave production system. The water depth for this project is 2,200 meters in the pre-salt Santos basin. Project management and engineering activities have already commenced, with offshore operations planned for 2025 and 2026.
Additionally, Seaway7, a part of the Subsea7 Group, has secured a "substantial" contract from Equinor and Polenergia for the inter-array cables of the MFW Bałtyk II and MFW Bałtyk III offshore wind projects in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of 100 66kV inter-array cables, measuring approximately 200 kilometers in length. Offshore work is expected to begin in 2026.
These contracts highlight Subsea7's strategic positioning in key offshore energy markets, covering decommissioning, oil field development, and offshore wind projects. The company continues to strengthen its global footprint and contribute to the energy transition by supporting major projects around the world.
