Norway's recent offshore oil and gas exploration licensing round has attracted bids from 25 companies, a list that includes Shell, ConocoPhillips, Aker BP, and Equinor, according to the energy ministry's announcement on Tuesday.

The company successfully drilled the GNN-11 exploration well in the pre-Miocene Nubia formation, revealing 165 feet of net pay.

This well, the second operated by Beach Energy, reached a total depth of 5,000 meters and successfully intersected gas within the targeted Kingia Sandstone reservoir.

Equinor Energy AS, the operator of production license 090, has successfully completed drilling wells 35/11-26 S and 35/11-26 A in the North Sea.

This discovery, named the Sunspear prospect, marks a significant achievement for Talos and comes as a result of their focused efforts in exploration and drilling activities.

The well reached a total depth of 10,021 feet, making it one of the deepest wells drilled in recent times in the Palo Seco area.
